![]() ![]() Unfortunately, it doesn't solve the now-longstanding problem on that machine, but it does point strongly to the root of the problem being something to do with graphics or display drivers. Having been through the various steps to try and correct this problem, but without success, I have just discovered that HP were offering an update to the Intel Graphics driver, which I have downloaded and installed. ![]() an HP Pavilion laptop failed to display the boot menu, although it was clearly happening "behind the scenes". Some time ago, I posted in the forum on exactly this problem i.e. That made reverting to factory (and then back to my up to date system state) much more pleasant that it otherwise would have been. I'm so glad I made an image of the hard drive before I ever booted it for the first time. Just this past week they were still trying to blame Reflect and forced me to factory restore my system and demonstrate the problem with no Reflect involvement (which I reluctantly did and of course it still didn't work). They never did get to the point that they believed me the problem was even happening. My experience with the so-called "Pro Support" team at Dell over the past 6 weeks was terrible. The boot menu now displays on the built-in laptop screen as it should. I installed it and hey presto, problem solved. I noticed today that there was a new beta Intel UHD Graphics driver available on the Intel download site as of 4 days ago.
